Job Description:
Summary: The A&A Senior Manager is responsible for the
successful preparation, review, and delivery all A&A
engagements. Provides leadership and oversight of audit execution,
including ongoing monitoring and internal/external issue validation
to ensure conformance with methodology, all applicable professional
standards, and applicable regulations. Individual must be able to
meet assigned deadlines or budgets and provide advanced alert of
variances. Supervises, trains and mentors Supervisor and Manager
Accountants. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Planning and
execution of A&A fieldwork and statutory reporting across a
portfolio of clients, focusing on more complex types of
engagements. · Project management of all aspects of A&A
engagements including agreeing engagement timelines, team
briefings, and supervision and delivery of quality engagement. ·
Budgeting and monitoring the financial performance of projects,
focusing on optimizing profitability. · Providing technical input
to several projects and providing review and challenge to
deliverables produced by the team. · Cultivate and maintain client
relationships at existing clients by addressing and resolving
concerns and conflict. · Contribute to the development and
expansion of client base with new propositions/services and the
refreshing of existing products/services. · Identify planning &
consulting opportunities in our client’s operations, possessing a
deep knowledge of the client and the client’s business. · Actively
identifying and supporting business development opportunities,
including supporting the team with sales activities such as
proposal writing and assisting with client presentation. ·
Understands and follows the Firm’s quality control standards,
assist as assigned to annual, and other internal inspections. ·
Manage client accounts including billing, fee analysis, collecting,
profitability and new service development. · Working closely with
the Partners to play an active role in the proposal and pitching of
products/services for new work. · Work with other BMC teams and
provide technical input. · Maintain all organizational and
professional ethical standards. · Developing, supervising, and
mentoring team members. · Perform any other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: · Broad knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS and
other relevant professional standards, and a general tax knowledge.
· Ability to perform research as necessary to resolve accounting or
engagement issues that may arise during the performance of the
engagement. · Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written
communication skills. · Detail oriented & ability to multi-task. ·
Strong accounting, analytical and organizational skills. ·
Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar
software with the ability to learn new or updated software. ·
Leadership skills and ability to act as a role model. ·
Well-developed supervisory skills e.g., coaching and motivation.
Education and Experience: · Bachelor’s degree in accounting or
related filed, required. · CPA license, required. · 10 years’
experience in public accounting audit experience. · Minimum of 2-3
years as A&A Manager experience; 6 years of supervisory
experience. Physical/Mental/Visual Demands and Work Environment: ·
This job is conducted in an office work environment, sitting most
of the time, working on a computer. · Must be able to exert up to
20 lbs. of force occasionally. · Travel is required. Work Schedule:
· Typically, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. · Additional hours are
required during peak season. 10-15% travel is expected for this
position.
