Associate II in the Oncology Assay Development team, you are
responsible for conducting research, development, and manufacturing
laboratory experimentation and other scientific activities to
support Ventana projects. Your exercise of technical expertise and
discretion in the design, execution, and interpretation of
experiments is expected to the project strategies. You will
normally receive general directions on routine work and detailed
directions on new assignments. Also, you are
- Designing experimental protocols with minimal supervision.
- Executing bench experiments; making detailed and general
observations and analyzing data. Preparing technical reports,
summaries, and quantitative analyses and maintaining complete and
accurate records. You are presenting experimental procedures and
results in project teams.
- Assisting in identifying and reducing to practice of patentable
inventions.
- Exercising judgment within generally defined practices and
policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining
solutions, ensuring quality and continuously promoting Quality
First Time.
- A productive project team member, suggesting creative solutions
to problems and providing input to project planning. May
participate in cross-functional technical teams such as a failure
investigation team. You are making suggestions to improve work
processes and laboratory environment and train others in your areas
of expertise as required.
- Troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions as
needed.Who you areYou hold a Bachelor's Degree in Science and bring
2 years of relevant experience. No equivalencies are
acceptedBehaviors, competencies, and qualities of the ideal RA II
- Knows basic and some specialized laboratory techniques.
- Familiar with searching scientific literature.
- Skilled with use of word processing, spreadsheets, graphical
