Job Description:

Headway, a pioneering organization in mental health care, seeks a dedicated Licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our team. At Headway, we strive to revolutionize the mental health sector by simplifying the connection between patients and mental health professionals and ensuring affordability through insurance. As a PMHNP on our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive mental health services, assessing patient health, and developing effective treatment plans tailored to the needs of our diverse client base. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to collect and analyze information about mental and physical health. Formulate and implement treatment plans for psychiatric disorders, considering both medication and therapy. Manage and prescribe medications, monitoring responses and adjusting treatments as needed. Provide crisis intervention services and emergency mental health support. Collaborate with healthcare providers, mental health counselors, and other specialists to facilitate holistic care. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and care pathways. Maintain patient records and confidentiality according to compliance and regulatory standards. Proficiency in psychiatric assessment techniques and treatment planning Strong knowledge of pharmacology related to psychiatric medications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for patient care and team collaboration Ability to handle high-stress situations and make critical decisions Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems Malpractice Insurance Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) Compliance with state regulatory and practice laws
