Our financial services client is seeking a Technical Writer to join their Regulatory Data & Architecture team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the documentation team supporting various stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. Client is looking for someone with experience putting together data flow documentation : The role requires understanding of complex systems and data flows in order to well-structured documentation. This can be a Technical Writer or Data Analyst or Business Analyst who has done EXTENSIVE documentation and who is able to build interactive data flows diagrams to support various data architecture and reporting initiatives . Job Title: Technical Writer - Data & Architecture Documentation Location: Phoenix, Arizona (hybrid 3 days in office) Pay Range: Competitive What's the Job? Translate complex technical discussions into clear visual and written artifacts. Create executive-facing presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint tailored for non-technical stakeholders. Develop structured documentation from conceptual design discussions, including data flow diagrams and architecture overviews - prefer using Gliffy (but open to Visio and other flow diagram applications). Document validation rules, data quality checks, and maintain structured documentation for compliance. Collaborate with data architects and engineering teams to gather information and resolve ambiguity. What's Needed? 5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in data architecture or technology domains. MS PowerPoint, Gliffy (or Visio) Strong expertise in creating presentations and visual storytelling. Skilled in translating rough notes into clear and accurate documentation. Experience in documenting validation rules and maintaining compliance documentation. Comfortable working with diverse teams and synthesizing inputs with limited supervision. What's in it for me?
