teams. As a GNC Engineer – Level 4 located in Chandler, AZ , you’ll
be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art
of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and
cannot accommodate telecommute work. Designs, develops, tests, and
verifies algorithms, software, and simulation tools for the
guidance, navigation, and control of various vehicles, including
aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, launch vehicles, and surface ships,
during all phases of flight and mission operations. Navigation
functions include statistical processing of measured data and
integrating those into physical simulations. Guidance functions
involve creating equations to achieve precise positions,
orientations, or orbits in space. Control design includes
developing control laws and defining hardware and software
requirements. This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every
other Friday off. Your mission, should you choose to accept:
Design, develop, implement, verify, and test high-quality software
and simulation toolchains Work on a 6 degree of freedom (6DOF)
simulation to design and test missile flight code Work with 6DoF
simulation models to evaluate system performance Be experienced
with missile flight dynamics, autopilot and guidance design, and
implementation into missile flight code Be experienced with various
trajectory optimization software and tools Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of
professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of
professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional
experience. Will consider an additional 4 years of experience in
lieu of degree. US Citizen, with active and in scope U.S.
Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application
Experience working with missile guidance and control algorithms
Experience with missile simulation and flight dynamics Preferred
Qualifications: Experience with IR discrimination and tracking
Experience designing, tuning, implementing, and testing guidance
algorithms and autopilot parameters for guided missiles and/or
interceptors. Control systems theory and flight dynamics
proficiency Proficiency in creating and maintaining analysis tools
in C++, MATLAB and Python Proficiency in C++ development in a Linux
environment Proficiency in MATLAB and Python toolchains Existing

Grumman Total Rewards Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 -
$178,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline;
however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when
determining base salary offers such as the scope and
responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience,
education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the
position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift
differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as
well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in
Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term
Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of
benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability
insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off
(PTO) for vacation and/or personal business. The application period
