Maintenance Technician

About the role:

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs for the facilities, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, heating and cooling, and other building systems. The tech will assist employees on-site with general work on equipment and machinery, transport materials on powered equipment, and troubleshoot issues that may arise. The tech may also help oversee third party vendors performing work as they move throughout the facility. This role will work primarily assisting the Facilities Manager on the cultivation site but may require travel between all AB46 locations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair or upkeep.
  • Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs and parts.
  • Perform general repairs and submit reports on the work completed.
  • Follow maintenance schedule for daily upkeep of facility areas and equipment.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace hardware, furniture parts, or machinery.
  • Patch and paint walls, replace fixtures, install equipment, and move heavy items through facility.
  • Control and fix leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues that may arise.
  • Respond to work order requests in a timely manner.
  • Document deficiencies and escalate specialized work needs to Facility Manager.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Additional duties as assigned. What you need to succeed:
    • Knowledge of basic carpentry
    • Knowledge of basic electrical
    • Ability to use hand tools and power tools
    • Basic welding experience
    • Effective communication skills
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills
    • Teamwork and collaboration
    • Knowledge of quality standards and safety regulations
    • Basic math skills; familiarity with imperial and metric systems You should also have:
      • HS Diploma/GED required.
      • Associate degree, vocational school certificate, or equivalent facility maintenance experience required.
      • Forklift certification, required. Scissor lift certification, a plus.
      • Advanced or specialized certification, a plus.
      • Must be 21 years of age and pass a criminal background check.
      • Knowledge of Arizona marijuana laws and regulations or willingness to learn.
      • Must maintain current knowledge and adhere to all policy and regulations of AZDHS, HIPAA, and Arizona State. Physical requirements:
        • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
        • Heavy work that includes moving objects up to 100 pounds.
        • Operating powered equipment and heavy machinery.
        • Exposure to dust or other allergens.
        • Working in noisy and/or hazardous conditions.
        • Ascending or descending ladders, ramps, or stairs. Hours: Full Time 40-hour week, open availability, potential overtime opportunity

            (i) An offense for which the sentence, including any term of probation, incarceration or supervised release, was completed ten or more years earlier.

            (ii) An offense involving conduct that would be immune from arrest, prosecution, or penalty under section 36-2811 except that the conduct occurred before the effective date of this chapter or was prosecuted by an authority other than the state of Arizona.
